The end of this document has some specific examples of bad things seen in lmgrd.log files.The log file is written in operation order, newest records going to the bottom of the file. In general look for anything that looks bad, then try to determine why it occurred.If you do get something license this then look below it for problems.If you do not get this then look at file start for problems.If empty, license service has not been started.For more detail, look to document “Understanding a Network license file”. Make sure REPLACE_THIS_FOLDER has been updated on the DAEMON line.Make sure REPLACE_THIS_HOSTNAME has been updated on the SERVER line.Get license.dat and lmgrd.log file from c:\downstreamtech\licensemanager off the server.Your Downstream 2018 license features will differ in name, but be generally similar. Note the specific examples below are from the Downstream 2016 release. Refer to other tech doc for incomplete setup problems. If there is none and this is a first time setup then it is an incomplete setup. If lmgrd.log is missing, check lmtools to see if there is a downstream service. The config service tab shows paths to these files. If the latter then lmtools (same folder) can be used to locate the files. If license.dat is missing, then either no license was setup or they have customized their setup. Both should be in c:\downstreamtech\licensemanager. Contacting sending a network license problem to please send a copy of users license.dat and lmgrd.log files.
